About Me
I’m Emma, the founder of Griffin Tuition, and I bring over 22 years of experience in education across EYFS, KS1, and KS2. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of teaching children at every stage of primary learning, which has given me a deep understanding of how children develop, learn, and thrive when they are supported in the right way.
I am a qualified SENDCO, with specialist expertise in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. This is a part of my work I am particularly passionate about, as I believe every child deserves learning that is tailored to their individual strengths, needs, and confidence level.
Alongside my teaching and SEND experience, I hold the NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship) and have spent 10 years working as a Headteacher across both state and independent schools. This leadership experience has given me a strong understanding of curriculum expectations, school standards, and what children truly need in order to succeed academically and emotionally.
Safeguarding is central to my practice. I am a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) with advanced safeguarding training and an enhanced DBS check, ensuring that children are always learning in a safe, supportive, and trusted environment.
Griffin Tuition was created with one clear purpose: to provide high-quality, personalised tuition that helps children build confidence, close gaps in their learning, and reach their full potential.
